Manhattan Jury Reaches Verdict in Trump Hush Money Case

A Manhattan jury has found Donald Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records, marking an unprecedented and historic verdict in a case related to hush money payments made during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump had pleaded not guilty to the charges, which alleged that he and his company, the Trump Organization, falsified records to conceal payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal, both of whom claimed to have had affairs with Trump.

The verdict comes amid ongoing criminal cases against Trump, including an investigation into his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
