Fury to face Usyk in undisputed heavyweight title fight
British boxer Tyson Fury will fight Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk on 18 May in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The fight will be the first undisputed heavyweight title fight since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.
Usyk, 35, is the current WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion. He defeated Anthony Joshua in September 2021 to win the WBA, IBF and WBO titles and then retained them in a rematch in August 2022.
Fury, 34, is the current WBC heavyweight champion. He defeated Deontay Wilder in February 2020 to win the WBC title and then retained it in a rematch in October 2021.
The fight between Fury and Usyk is expected to be one of the biggest boxing events of the year. It will be the first time that two undefeated heavyweight champions have met in a title fight since Muhammad Ali defeated George Foreman in the "Rumble in the Jungle" in 1974.
